Michelle N Persaud: As a Canadian of Indo-Guyanese heritage, Michelle was raised in Scarborough where numerous nationalities intermingled, often raising the question of what claims children of immigrants have on their cultures of heritage. Rooted in the increadible stories passed down through her family, saturated with traditions, culture and religion, and shaped by her study of literature at the University of Toronto, she delivers a unique perspective as she explores the human condition relatable to all those who experience cultural dislocation through a simple coincidence of their birth.
